Cooking Instructions

COOK – Cook ground meat in a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes, breaking up and stirring. Drain; return cooked meat to skillet. Stir in water, salt, and butter. Gently stir in Potatoes. Heat to boiling over high heat, stirring gently, until butter is melted.
COVER – Reduce heat to medium. Spread mixture evenly; press firmly. Cover; cook about 12 minutes, without stirring. Uncover and continue to cook until liquid is absorbed and bottom is golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes.
While potatoes are cooking, stir milk and Topping Mix in a bowl with whisk or fork. Set aside to thicken.
TURN – Turn the potato mixture over in sections. Spread evenly; press firmly. Increase heat to medium-high. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.
TOP – Remove from heat. Add topping.
